131 Diet Update-Week 3
Here we are! Week 3 of the 131 Diet (not an affiliate, I am just so in love with the program so far)! Honestly, it feels longer than 2 full weeks. Not going to sugarcoat anything, it has been tough. I was eating a lot of crap before starting, so the elimination process was difficult. The positive; eating a high fat diet as really eliminated a lot of my food cravings and constant hunger for carbs/sugar. This program has proven the fact, I have a dieters mentality. I have been a yoyo dieter for most of my life, so it is hard to think of this as a new way of life vs a temporary diet. It makes me wonder will I ever eat a burrito again? A burger from Five Guys? A milkshake? Pizza? My hopes are I can tolerate these types of foods every once in a while without any issues.
2 Weeks Results
To keep this process simple, I chose to only use photos and the scale as my method for progress. I know the scale does not tell the entire picture, but I never follow through with taking measurements. I feel photos and how my clothes fit are the best method for progress. I have completed the program for 2 full weeks now and I am excited to say I have lost 7lb!!!! Now, no this is not all fat, which is fine. Its most likely a majority of water weight and inflammation which is CRAZY! Below are my before and afters. You can see a lot of the puffiness has gone away. I am hopeful at the end of the program (12 weeks total) I will have a much better idea of where my fatigue, anxiety, nausea, and brain fog is coming from. Heres to hoping it is indeed inflammation and food sensitivities!
What Happens Now?
The 131 Diet is in 3 phases. I am at the end of the first phase, and will be able to reintroduce foods soon! My first food to bring back is 6ox of organic whole milk on Saturday. I cannot wait for a latte!!! Fingers crossed I don’t have any dairy sensitivities.
I will be sure to update you weekly on my progress. Follow me on Instagram to see more day to day how I am eating, exercising, and navigating the program.
Have a great Tuesday!
